This is a music appreciation course introducing Beethoven’s piano music. Beethoven’s 32 piano sonatas are the bedrock of the concert piano repertoire. This course will sample works from all three of the composer’s “style periods” and discuss them in the context of Beethoven’s life and times. No musical training is required.
