Description: This two-day training will give you the fundamentals when conducting Undercover Chat investigations. This training is geared for the investigator working internet crimes against children's investigations. It will provide training such as creating on-line personas, use of UC Photos, identifying I.P. addresses, email addresses along with conducting on-line chats, and interviewing suspects. This training will also provide the student with established procedures in assuming the on-line identity of a victim along with understanding the predator and distinguishing between fantasy and reality.

Instructor: William J. Hough II has over 24 years' experience investigating internet crimes, especially crimes against children. He is a member of the Alabama Internet Crimes Against Children's Task Force (ICAC) and was assigned to the Federal Task Force PROTECT (Prosecute and Restrain Offenders that Exploit Children), through the U.S. Attorneys Office. He has trained numerous officers and prosecutors in using the internet as an investigative tool. He has also testified as an expert witness in several cases involving internet crimes. He retired from both the U.S.A.F, Tallapoosa County Sheriff's Department, and now working as a S.A. with the Alabama State Bureau of Investigations on the ICAC Task Force.
