This course is designed for new investigators as well as School Resource Officers. It will provide training regarding investigating incidents in schools as well as criminal activity using computers and the internet. It will also allow investigators and School Recourse Officers the opportunity to find information on the internet using different tools and programs available. The students will also get information regarding interview and interrogation techniques as well as a way along with providing educational programs for teachers, students, parents and civic groups. Students are encouraged to bring a laptop as there will be practical applications of the tools as well as finding IP addresses and real or fake photos on line.

Instructor: Special Agent William Hough has over 24 years' experience investigating internet crimes, especially crimes against children. He is a member of the Internet Crimes Against Children Task force and assigned to the PROTECT (Prosecute and Restrain Offenders that Exploit Children Task Force) through the US Attorney Office, and has trained numerous officers and prosecutors in using the Internet as an investigative tool. He has also testified as an expert witness in several criminal cases involving Internet crimes. Special Agent Hough is an APOSTC certified instructor.
