Because law enforcement agencies in the 21st Century face new challenges daily, there is an increasing need for timely, wide-ranging and relevant training. To meet this need, agencies must produce trainers who are not only experts in their fields, but who also have mastered the art of sharing their skills with others in a variety of situations.

For the beginning trainer, this seminar shows what must be done in order to train: from producing a needs assessment, conducting research and producing lesson plans, to preparing presentations and evaluations. For more experienced trainers, advanced concepts are also explored, from the psychology of learning, the need for ethical considerations in training components and advanced presentation skills, including visual aids, classroom technology and working with PowerPoint.

Instructors: Bob Thetford, Bobby Blankenship, and John Mulligan (all retired) have a combined experience of over 90 years in law enforcement training and have developed a seminar training manual with the assistance of over 50 professional trainers in a variety of fields.

A training manual is provided free to all seminar participants.
