Are you still suffering withdrawal symptoms from the end of Downtown Abbey? Has the pleasure of that series been rekindled by Victoria? Downton Abbey was set in the Edwardian age as the power of England's landed aristocracy declined. This class explores country house life at its height in the Victorian Age, including topics such as economic basis, the houses, hierarchy of upstairs and downstairs, annual calendar and daily schedule, eating, dressing, playing, and decline.
