Olli members have the opportunity to spend a day in Selma visiting art studios and galleries that have opened as part of the city's arts initiative. Travelling by bus that departs at 8:45 a.m., the group will visit the Selma Art Guild Gallery and then move to the ArtsRevive building for a quick orientation. From there, members of the group will have about two hours to visit five galleries and studios within a couple of blocks: Restotonica (architectural remnants and bizarre antiques), Tin Man Studio (Charlie Lucas, internationally known artist and storyteller), Southland Studio (A. C. Reeves, artist and teacher), Look (antiques and art), and Gallery 905 (art works by Alabama artists). Unique art works - paintings, folk arts, sculptures, jewelry, scarves, shawls, pottery - are available for purchase at all of the sites. There will also be opportunities to talk with artists and watch them work. After lunch, the group will tour the Selma Bridge Tender's Cottage, currently the art studio of Anne Strand, who has made the arrangements in Selma for this trip. Walking, standing, and climbing steps will be necessary.

Maximum: 25 (Future trips can be arranged if there is interest.)
See Lunch Presentation on March 11 for further details.
